Design / Build
The Design and Build process is core to what we do here at Mill City Machine Design, designing and building custom food equipment that will meet your needs for a generation, and the next. Our process includes phases in the order of Quoting, Designing, Fabrication and Assembly, Factory Acceptance Testing, and Shipping. We can also support further through Installation, Checkout, and Startup.
Quote
Based on your needs, we can provide either a budgetary estimate, or a detailed proposal including cost and lead time, to guide next steps.
Design
Once a purchase order is placed, our team ensures all requirements are fully understood before launching the design phase. We will hold regular meetings and a final design review before fabrication to ensure the design meets all project criteria.
Fabrication
The final designs will be submitted to our partners to optimize cost, schedule, and capability based on your project’s specific needs. Each partner (spanning fabrication, assembly, and electrical) is pre-qualified to ensure your machine’s quality exceeds expectations and requirements.
FAT
If needed, we’ll host a full machine test (Factory Acceptance Test) to identify any issues before shipping. You can join the review or have us conduct it on your behalf using your testing standards. This ensures the machine is fully optimized before arriving at your facility.
Support
We can also provide installation support and beyond. We are fully qualified to handle IO Checkout, Dry and Wet Checkout, and can provide on-site startup assistance in any other way necessary. Just let us know how we can help!
